The Pakistan Council on China is an independent, non-political, non-partisan body and has been constituted to promote the following aims and objectives.
- To organize academic and social activities for the promotion of Pakistan-China relations;
- To initiate and hold informed discussion among relevant governmental and private sector organizations as well as individuals, to explore new avenues to further strengthen Pak-China relations;
- To conduct research and independent analysis to provide policy inputs and recommendations for relevant government and civil institutions in their engagement with China;
- To develop effective means for the exchange of ideas between like-minded groups, think tanks, youth groups, scholars and academics in Pakistan and China in order to develop a long term, sustainable and harmonious relationship between the two countries, in the decades ahead;
- To promote a comprehensive understanding of China in Pakistan at all levels;
- To carry out studies assessing China’s increasing international status and role in world affairs and its evolving relationships with major regional and international players;
- To study and review the Chinese economy and draw lessons from it for application in Pakistan;
- To develop cooperation and mutually beneficially understandings and exchange agreements with important think tanks, academic institutions and universities in China;
- To organize national, bilateral and international seminars on the emerging world order and devise policies to safeguard the position and vital interests of Pakistan and China in the rapidly evolving world.
- To receive and maintain a donations fund for the sustainability of the Trust and its activities henceforth with honesty and good will, in accordance to the standards as required by the Law;
